Emerson Steele (Violet) will have her very own 54 Below show in October! The show called “Roles I Can’t Play Now…Or Ever…Except Tonight!” is described as “Tongue in cheek, with humor and heart, with songs, stories, dances, and goofy antics, 2014 Theatre World Award winner, Emerson Steele, turns the norms upside down and, tonight, plays the roles she has always wanted to play and some she hopes to play in the future!”. More of our alumni and current kids have been cast in TV! Look for Mavis Simpson-Ernst (Evita, A Little Princess) in an episode of “Broad City”, Caleb McLaughlin (The Lion King, Painted Rocks…) in “Shades of Blue”, and Simone Vysnovsky (Dream Street) in “The Mysteries of Laura”. All episodes’ air dates are TBA but we will keep you posted. Congrats, everyone!

MATILDA Headed to Big Screen, Ian Saraceni To Join MATILDA, and more!

Great news from Matilda today! First, the musical is headed to the big screen! A film adaptation is slated for a 2019 release with new material. More info can be found at BroadwayWorld.com. Second, Ian Saraceni (who just left The King and I) will join the Broadway cast of Matilda soon! We will announce his debut date when we get it. Congrats, Ian!

“Meadowland”, the new feature film from Olivia Wilde co-starring Eden Ducan-Smith of The Lion King and Fences, will be released sometime in October! An exact is TBA.
