Doctor Zhivago is officially headed to Broadway! The production will begin rehearsals in February with its opening night set for sometime in April, according to an Equity casting notice. The Melbourne production featured children according to this children’s audition workshop, but we’re not sure if the production will be revised before its Broadway debut. We’ll keep you posted!

I found some great open casting calls today! A special open casting for kids for The Lion King will be held in Atlanta on October 4th at Studio Dionne. Sign in begins at 1pm with auditions beginning at 2pm. All kids must prepare a section of “Just Can’t Wait to be King”. More details can be found at Playbill.com. Additionally, Matilda is holding a few casting calls this October. Three separate ECC/Open casting calls for the Broadway production are being held for boy and girls dancers and singers. Equity kids will be seen first followed by non-equity kids (time permitting). Full details can be found at NoraBrennanCasting.com.
