The Tony Awards occurred last night! Congratulations to A Christmas Carol, The Inheritance, and Tina, which received awards during the ceremony. Here’s a breakdown of each show’s successful night.

  • A Christmas Carol won all 5 categories in which it was nominated, making it the most awarded play during the 2019/2020 season. A Christmas Carol also has the distinction of being the first play score to win Best Score and the first holiday show to win a Tony Award.
  • The Inheritance received 4 awards, including Best Play.
  • Tina‘s leading lady Adrienne Warren (whose younger counterpart is played by Skye Dakota Turner) won Best Leading Actress in a Musical
