The upcoming New York City Center production of Ragtime is holding in-person auditions! The show is seeking some principal roles including two for child actors. See below:

LITTLE GIRL – Character is female (cis, transgender, or nonbinary), 7–10, Caucasian. Tateh’s daughter. A vulnerable child in a brand-new home, she has lost her mother and is guarded and shy. She clings to her father. C4—Bb4.

LITTLE BOY – Character is male (cis, transgender, or nonbinary), 8–12, Caucasian. Mother and Father’s son. He is open-hearted and curious with inexplicable clairvoyance. Never passes judgment on others. E4—D5.

First Rehearsal: October 15, 2024
Opening Night: October 30, 2024
Closing Performance: November 10, 2024

Note: Auditions will take place over a course of two days, but you only need to attend one audition day.

Please prepare a brief musical theatre song in the style of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, showing range. Please bring sheet music for the piano accompanist provided. Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together.
