The Antonyo Awards are a celebration of the Black Broadway and Off-Broadway community and will take place at 7:00pm EST on June 19, 2020, also known as Juneteenth, a holiday which commemorates the end of slavery in America. Lucille Lortel Nominations Announced, Updated Cabaret for a Cause Lineups, and more!

The Lucille Lortel Awards Nominations were announced today! Congratulations to brownsville song (b-side for tray), City of Conversation, The Nether, The Library, Our Lady of Kibeho, and Punk Rock, all of which received nominations, as well as the other nominated productions. Special congratulations to Sophia Anne Caruso (The Sound of Music LIVE), who was nominated for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play for her performance in The Nether! Cabaret for a Cause has announced updated lineups for its upcoming NYC and LA performances. The NYC show will be on April 27th, 2015, and the LA show will be on June 1st, 2015. You can get tickets for both on CabaretForACause.us. Check out the lineups of performers below:

Milly Shapiro (Matilda) will lead an all-kid reading of The Geranium on the Windowsill Just Died But Teacher You Went Right On on October 20th in NYC. The cast includes Charlotte Rose Masi (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Peyton Ella (Sound of Music LIVE), and Stephen Sayegh (A Little Princess). Full casting can be found at Playbill.com. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Jeremy Shinder (A Christmas Story) and Elainey Bass (Radio City Christmas Spectacular) are currently appearing in Big at the York Theatre Company through Sunday! The production also stars John Tartaglia and Kerry Butler. More information can be found at YorkTheatre.org.

LIBERTY 1st Preview, LION KING Kids on TV, and more!

Today, Liberty plays its first performance at Theater 80. Break a leg to Abigail and Andrew! You can find more information about the show at our Liberty page. The production officially opens on Sunday.

Caleb McLaughlin and Kaci Walfall (The Lion King) both appeared on TV tonight! Caleb appears on “Forever” tonight at 10pm on ABC and Kaci guest stars on “Person of Interest” on CBS at 10pm. We will have both episodes up as soon as they are available on Hulu or CBS or ABC’s websites. Congratulations, guys! You can watch sneak preview’s of Kaci’s episode tomorrow.

The next Cabaret for a Cause is set for December 8th in NYC! Another Cabaret for a Cause might happen in LA next year. We will keep you posted on the LA event plus performers and more details for the NYC event.

“The Judge” Out in Theaters, the Matildas at 54 Below and more!

Tonight, the former Matildas take the stage at 54 Below. We will (hopefully) have media coverage within the next few days!

Today, “The Judge”, featuring Marcus D’Angelo of Matilda, is now in theaters. Go see it!

Kaci Walfall (The Lion King) will appear on “Person of Interest” on October 14th at 10pm on CBS. Set your DVRs!

Matilda will hold an open call for the title role for future replacements for the Broadway and national tour productions. The next open call for little girls will be held on October 18th. For more information go to MatildaTheMusical.com/Casting.

Tickets for the NYC return of Ruthless! are now on sale. The next Tina has not been announced yet but you can buy tickets at BrownPaperTickets.com.

The Into the Woods soundtrack will be released on December 16th, with the film arriving on December 25th. You can pre-order the soundtrack at Amazon.com.
