FYI: We placed all of our Newsies closing weekend coverage in this post. Take a look! 6 year old Sophie Knapp (A Little Princess) will make her Broadway debut in Once! Don’t know who she is replacing and when she starts but we are very excited for her! Paige Brady (Matilda) took her last bow as “Matilda” this past Saturday. We wish you all the best, Paige! Fina Strazza officially made her debut yesterday. Congratulations and welcome! Lyrics for Life, the Kids of the Arts-produced fundraiser for World Suicide Prevention Day, will be hosted by Cameron Ocasio! Ocasio made his Broadway debut in 2010 in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and plays Dice on Nickelodeon’s “Sam and Cat”. The event will also feature Sophie Knapp, who will make her Broadway debut soon in Once. Ticket information can be found at SymphonySpace.org. We posted a bunch of videos from this past Cabaret for a Cause. In case you missed them, I’ve put them in a playlist. Watch below! We found a few videos featuring the New “Matildas”! Get a sneak peek at the new “Matildas” and make sure to check them out at the Shubert Theater within the next few weeks. Tori Feinstein on Nick Jr.’s “Bubble Guppies” as Oona Fina Strazza on Dr. Oz (look closely behind Dr. Oz!) Mia Sinclair Jenness (Les Miserables) volunteered at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen recently and she sang “I Believe I Can Fly” with her fellow Les Miserables castmates, who also volunteered. Watch the video below! Brooklyn Shuck (Annie, Matilda) took on the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for ALS. If you would like to donate please go to ALSA.org. For now, here’s Brooklyn’s video! And here are pictures from the kids of The Lion King, Matilda, Ruthless!, and Motown!
