The Young Artist Award nominations for 2015 were announced this week. Lilla Crawford (Annie) is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Feature Film for “Into the Woods”, John Allyn and Jake Lucas are nominated for Best Performance by a Young Actor Under 13 in a TV Movie, Miniseries, Special, or Pilot for Peter Pan LIVE, and Holly Taylor (Billy Elliot) is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series for “The Americans”. The ceremony will take place on March 15th.

A musical adaptation of Freaky Friday is in the works! According to an Equity casting notice, a developmental lab will occur this spring. The show will feature a young boy around 8 years old. The Equity notice is also looking for two teenagers but we don’t know if they will cast adult or teen actors. More details to come!

TWO of Oona Laurence‘s (Matilda) films will appear at South By South West, an annual film, music, and international festival. The two films are “The Grief of Others”, based on the novel by Leah Hager Cohen, and “Lamb”, based on the novel by Bonnie Nadzam. Congralutations, Oona!

Zoe Manarel (A Little Princess) is set to guest star on “Inside Amy Schumer” on Comedy Central! Air date is TBA. Congrats, Zoe!
