MATILDA Celebrates 2-Year Anniversary, FUN HOME To Update Cast Album, and more!

Fun Home will update their cast album! The new cast album will include new material from the Broadway production as well as unrecorded Off-Broadway material. Get more details at Additionally, Sydney Lucas was on hand to release the new edition of the Fun Home graphic novel. View that at!

Kids from Annie, Matilda, and more will team up to raise money for cancer research! Presented by Abbey Rose Gould (A Little Princess) and Presley Ryan (A Little Princess), performers include Emily Rosenfeld (Annie, New York Spring Spectacular), Graham Montgomery (Kinky Boots), and more! The concert is set for May 11th at 7pm at the Soho Playhouse in NYC. Purchase tickets at Vendini!

THE NETHER First Preview, Young Artist Award Nominations Announced, and more!


Tonight is the first preview of The Nether. Break a leg, Sophia!

The Young Artist Award nominations for 2015 were announced this week. Lilla Crawford (Annie) is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Feature Film for “Into the Woods”, John Allyn and Jake Lucas are nominated for Best Performance by a Young Actor Under 13 in a TV Movie, Miniseries, Special, or Pilot for Peter Pan LIVE, and Holly Taylor (Billy Elliot) is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series for “The Americans”. The ceremony will take place on March 15th.

A musical adaptation of Freaky Friday is in the works! According to an Equity casting notice, a developmental lab will occur this spring. The show will feature a young boy around 8 years old. The Equity notice is also looking for two teenagers but we don’t know if they will cast adult or teen actors. More details to come!

TWO of Oona Laurence‘s (Matilda) films will appear at South By South West, an annual film, music, and international festival. The two films are “The Grief of Others”, based on the novel by Leah Hager Cohen, and “Lamb”, based on the novel by Bonnie Nadzam. Congralutations, Oona!

Zoe Manarel (A Little Princess) is set to guest star on “Inside Amy Schumer” on Comedy Central! Air date is TBA. Congrats, Zoe!

K’Lynn Jackman (The Lion King) posted lots of pictures and video from the McDonald’s Salutes the Names of Black History event she recently sang at. Take a look at her FB fan page!

Lots of alumni news came up within the past day! Holly Taylor‘s (Billy Elliot) series “The Americans” returns tonight at 10pm on FX. caught up with the teen and talked to her about her character’s stronger presence on the new season. Read it HERE. Ripley Sobo (Matilda, Once) has been cast in the upcoming biopic Steve Jobs about the Apple creator. She will play his daughter Lisa at age 9. Isabela Moner (Evita) will appear in an upcoming Nickelodeon made-for-TV movie “Splitting Adam”, which premieres on February 16th. Watch the trailer below!

The cast includes Charlotte Rose Masi (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Peyton Ella (Sound of Music LIVE), and Stephen Sayegh (A Little Princess).
