The Public Theater is holding Equity auditions for Oh, Happy Day as part of the annual Institutional Off-Broadway Group Auditions with several other Off-Broadway theaters. The production is seeking some roles, including the following:

KEVIN – A Black boy. Young-looking, early-teens (13-15), to play twelve years old. An average kid, who loves video games and Golden Corral, but also an old soul who has inherited his mother’s quick wit and exhibits moments of keen perception beyond his years. He’s quiet but often makes his presence known. A lump of clay beginning to form. This is a role for a young actor who is skilled with language and text. Featured in scenes that include profanity, discussions of LGBTQ+ themes. Start date 8/26/25

Please prepare a brief monologue and/or a brief song. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring three (3) copies of your headshot and resume stapled together.

Note: You do not have to attend all three days of auditions.
