The Grammy nominations were announced this week! Highlights include the following:
-The cast recording of “Fire Shut Up In My Bones”, featuring Walter Russell III (MJ, The Lion King) as a principal vocalist, was nominated for Best Opera Recording! This makes Walter a Grammy nominee at 14 years old.
–MJ and Caroline, Or Change are nominated for Best Musical Theater Album
-The “All Too Well” short film (with Broadway alum and “Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink) is nominated for Best Music Video
-“West Side Story” (with alumni from Matilda, Billy Elliot, and more) is nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media

The Jungle will return for another Off-Broadway run at St. Ann’s Warehouse! Performances begin on February 18th, 2023 and run through March 19th, 2023. Tickets are now available for purchase HERE.

–The Jungle is holding an open casting call for the role of Amal! The casting team is looking for a local NY young actress ages 6-8 under 48″ to play a Syrian girl. Submit a picture and resume to TheJungleCasting@gmail.com by the EOD Saturday, Nov. 19th. Find background information about the show HERE.
–The Lion King is currently accepting Equity video submissions for all principal roles (including Young Simba and Young Nala) for potential future replacements! Get submission information HERE. Deadline is November 29th.
–MJ is currently accepting Equity video submissions for all principal roles, including Little Michael and Little Marlon, for potential future replacements! Get more information HERE. Deadline is December 6.

-“The Santa Clauses”, with Matilda Lawler (The Ferryman), has begun streaming this week with two episodes now available to watch on Disney+! Be on the lookout for a new episode dropping each Wednesday.
–Ava DeMary (Matilda, Billy Elliot, Evita) guest starred on this week’s episode of “New Amsterdam”! The episode is now streaming on Peacock.
-Aaralyn Anderson (Ballyturk) will appear in an episode of the upcoming HBO Max series “Full Circle”! No release date has been announced yet.
-A new trailer for “Darby and the Dead” (with Les Miserables alum Kylie Liya) dropped today! Watch below:

-“Snow Day”, the musical adaptation of the 2000 movie with Fabi Aguirre (On Your Feet, Les Miserables), will air on Nickelodeon on December 16th at 7pm and streaming on Paramount+ beginning that same day! Watch the trailer below:
