The Broadway and national tour productions of The Lion King are holding an open call for the roles of Young Simba and Young Nala! Check out the requirements and additional information below.

The open call will conclude when we have seen everyone who signed up between 9AM and 11AM. For this reason, we cannot guarantee an end time as the day ends upon completion of seeing all who signed up during the designated sign-in hours.

$2638 weekly minimum – Broadway $2599 weekly minimum (level 1) – Tour Payments subject to applicable state laws regarding trust funds for minors

Young Simba – He/Him. 8 – 12 years old. An African lion cub. Mufasa’s son. A lion cub that eventually becomes the King of the Pridelands. Looking for a young singer with natural talent, charm, and charisma. Moves well and holds the stage on his own with confidence and truth. MUST BE UNDER56 INCHES.

Young Nala – She/Her. 8 – 12 years old. An African lion cub. She eventually becomes the Queen of the Pridelands. She keeps Simba in his place. Looking for a young singer with natural talent, charm, and charisma. Moves well and holds the stage on her own with confidence and truth. MUST BE UNDER 56 INCHES.

Be prepared to be taught the last verse of “I Just Can’t Wait to be King.” All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Parents or guardians must remain present at the audition site at all times. Please be prepared to wait. It’s always best to audition in person, but if you are unable to attend this call, please see the following link for instructions on how to submit a video audition at disneyonbroadway.com/casting.
